Local artist Denise Campbell was born in country New South Wales and it is the land that remains a constant in her work. Outback travel and aerial flights energise her dramatic perspectives, featuring the brilliant burnt oranges, yellows and ochres that truly define the Australian outback landscape.
"My works have come to metaphorically express the openness and freedoms experienced in the Australian way of life."
In 2002, Campbell’s works were exhibited in three London shows and in 2004, she was a finalist in the internationally touring Cromwell’s Art Prize.
