Drawing inspiration from the vast Australian landscape,  Ray's latest acrylic paintings are infused with intense layers of colour and many of the works contain a unique nocturnal quality.

Ray Firth is a Sydney based artist but he regularly ventures to remote corners of the continent for inspiration and for that unmistakable connection to the land.  

With a prodigious output, Firth is constantly exhibiting work around the country. He commenced painting full time around 1991.  He has had 21 solo exhibitions since 1992 in NSW. 

Born in Queensland, Ray attended school in Moree, NSW and studied architecture at UNSW in the 1970s, but had his Ph.D. interrupted by a near fatal accident Dec 1986.
